When You Depart

All my emotions are jostling-jangling for first place

In a body that feels as if time has no substance.

Time has no meaning it's just a dial on a clock face

Nothing feels real, it's all too surreal.

Yet, deep within I know the proof.

I'm floating on nerve-ends that lash out for an anchor.

This noiseless space is earth-shatteringly loud - and

Night is day is night is day, all is one.

I'm full of yearning, deep and secret.

Heightened senses are delirious,

Crazy with tremors throbbing.

I'm alone, but your presence is still with me.
