Life is But A Symphony

All life is but a symphony

A chord of perfect harmony

A lovely tune so often played

Throughout a quiet and leafy glade.

Where colour meets the eyes and stays

Amongst the sunbeams displaced rays

And chimes are heard throughout the land

Played by an unseen fairy hand.

A melody so soft and sweet

Delights the mind and moves the feet

To sway, entranced by natures power

To waltz in time with every flower.

The rhythm of each flower in time

A syncopated beat of rhyme

A metronomic heartbeat ticking

To the little insects clicking.

Crescendos of the trilling birds

Throughout the forest that are heard

Are praises sung to honoured guests

From the swell of feathered breasts.

When night must call and days must end

Then sprinkling stardust will descend

A heavenly sound that gently creeps

Upon a tired world seeking sleep.

Then angels sing their lullabies

And strum their harps up in the skies

They guard us each and every one

Until the new day has begun.
