My Solitude Of Day

Must I be silent in this majesty of spring?

When my being overflows and my bursting heart would sing

Like a little songbird sitting high up on the bough

Must my love stay ever hidden for the moment just for now?

When my smile is not concealed or that starry look of eyes

When the flowers fill my springtime and so beautifully my skies

Can I seem the same as winter now new life is growing here?

Like the fragrance of your perfume fills the sensuousness of air.

My heart beats twice as quickly at the mention of your name

And my passion rises inwards, like a moth flies to a flame.

I adore you and I want you yet in silence I shall stay

Just to dream of you in quietness in my solitude of day
