Walk With Me
We leave our footprints in wet sands, the flooding tide will steal,
Yet nothing can our memories take, those dream filled hours unreal,
Slow walks in wood where once we loved as witnessed tiny brook,
Where perfect setting lends amour, passion's patience we forsook,
Sweet heady blossom hung on air enticed by beauteous form,
Twin spirits woven into one as ever mores were sworn,
Your scintillating presence, the aura you portrayed,
Remains forever with me when I walk our leafy glade,
Once more I take your tiny hand amidst the song of birds,
And walk again our wonderland, our promises are heard,
I linger at the places we paused for sweet embrace,
Still see your ever laughing eyes in this enchanted place,
If only time were frozen, if we could but remain,
Entombed where we had chosen, in gentle love again,
Come walk with me upon wet sands, Let's cheat old destiny,
Make love once more just as before, two spirits, emotionally.
