The Poetry of Marjo Josue

Profile

I’m Mary Jocelyn Balangue-Josue… to most, I am Marjo, turning 29 at the end of this month (April). I am happily married and we are blessed with 2 lovely girls. For 8 years, I have been a Guidance Counselor and a tutor to children with special needs. After completing a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling, I now pursue yet another Master’s Degree in Special Education.

Being a wife, a mother, a counselor, an educator and a learner are all fulfilling endeavors but writing is my passion which fills in the void within my creative self. Blank sheets and empty spaces are most precious to me because they provide my words fertile ground for expression. While words are my bestfriends… they are my staff when I am lamed by my fears… they are my flame when I am blinded by my anger… they are my sails when I am blown by my depression… and they are my reason when my mind shut itself from the cruelties of the world.

Indeed I have been writing since I learned the simplest subject-verb agreement. Though I only had the guts to share my compositions to the public when my brother and a dear friend inspired me to do so. Then, I was just writing and writing and writing and keeping all my stuff in a box. And when I finally mustered the courage and I decided to take a step farther, my stuff is gone… termites feasted on them. But well, at least they were useful to some of God’s creations.

Now I have posted all my compositions in two separate blog sites and hope

you could visit them… http://360.yahoo.com/my_bea (My Present

Tense - these are just anything and everything in my life space that

makes me wanna write about.) and http://CABAnata.blogspot.com (Tomb Reader – a narrative of unforgettable experiences since my childhood.).
