Profile

Hello, I am Lynne, an Englishwoman born, but have lived in Cape Town, South Africa since I was eighteen years old. I have four adult children, three sons, and the youngest, a daughter, and so far three little grandchildren.

The love and challenges of a large family have always been a mainstay and a constant, and life in South Africa has been troubled, turbulent, transitional, but always vibrant. I have many interests; reading and of course writing; sport in general, particularly athletics; nature, animals, and particularly horses; my garden; long horseback rides, or walks with my dogs in the forests, along endless white shores, and up the mountain trails with which Cape Town is uniquely blessed. All these have been a strong influence in many of the poems I have written.

 I look forward to being a member of this forum, the mutual sharing of our poems, and the inspiration this will surely bring.

I am actively involved in writers' and poetry groups and have been published in " New Contrast," a South African Literary magazine, and in the annual anthologies of Writers' Crescent.
