Requiem

Maternal mountain, curve him

In white arms.

Piercing wind carve him

On downy breast.

Glacier-melt, suckle him.

Granite brow, guard him.

Ice burn around him.

Pure light shine above him.

In this land of rock and snow,

Mountain Eternal, preserve him.
