The Piper

You are the wings upon my heels

That fly me to the furthest corners of the sky.

You are the wind upon the waves

That sail me to distant shores which lie

Beyond the boundary of my destiny and dreams.

You are my shelter from the storm

And when I falter in its squall, and call your name,

You are the glow that makes me warm.

You are the substance and the shadow

Casting calm and standing strong.

You are the colours in my rainbow

And the cadence of my song.

So COME... please take me with you

To your cradle on the moon,

And I shall dance for you forever

While you pipe your poignant tune
