A River's Journey

A fiery glow on the northeastern flow

meets the south with it westward kiss.

It lashes its smile

as it runs the golden mile

to the ocean, where its smile becomes bliss.

From mountain high it had travel

Smashed rocks rounded bends and dug caverns,

Sieved gravel through the rapids,

making it seem like it's savage

then slowed to drift peacefully in summer stream.

A fiery glow on the northeastern flow

meets the south with it westward kiss.

It lashes its smile

as it runs the golden mile

to meet the ocean with its fresh water kiss.
